less than 100, there were 11 nationalities
present. Many mission opportunities are
available.

MISSION
OPPORTUNITIES:
SALVATION ARMY
in the Toronto area is very evangelistic and
outreach oriented. They minister in a variety of
settings: to street persons through soup kitchens and
shelters; to low income people through clothes and
food distribution; and to addicts through recovery
programs. The Salvation Army has an outreach program
know as Sidewalk Sunday School where they take Sunday
School to the streets. Mission teams can lead Vacation
Bible School, work in soup kitchens, sort clothes and
food, and lead worship services.
FOOD
BANK:
delivers
food to many non-profit ministries. Groups sort food
and fill orders.
CITY
MISSIONS:
Several inner city mission have day camps all summer.
Our mission teams lead activities, Bible stories,
and
arts &
crafts.
VACATION
BIBLE SCHOOLS:
there are numerous
opportunities to
help with
VBS in
local churches.
SINGING
AT THE FALLS:
Choirs and creative art groups sing at an outdoor
park at Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. Hundreds
of
people often pass by during performances. |
